GTA IV, The Snooze Button
WARNING: If you’re a GTA IV worshiper and gravel at the alter of Rock Star Games then move along, nothing to see here.

So this past weekend (Saturday the third) the Bunny and I received a copy of what will probably be crowned game of the year (’08) Rock Star Games oft talked about Grand Theft Auto IV. I was so-so with the release of this title, since I have never played any of the GTA series previously, though most friends and others I talked with had.
I started playing that same night I received it and was impressed by the opening credits/sequence which was done extremely well.
However, from that point on it was kind of “downhill” for me… the game is decently stylized and very well detailed… but the controls and repetitive nature of tasks or “missions” makes the game seem to me to be a limited console based form of MSORPG‘esqueness.
I’m really not certain why everyone is all over this games jock… it’s nice to be able to go “anywhere” in a given environment but this is really just your standard do this, do that point A to B type game.
I think what will really get all the fan boys salivating is the “co-op” and various other multi player modes.
I’m going to try and give it some more time… but so far, I’m I enjoyed Mass Effect immensely more in my first few hours of game play.

And yes I mean GRAVEL not GROVEL.
Gravel: 2 a: loose rounded fragments of rock
What the hell is a MSORPG?
Last GTA I played was GTA2. Vice City didn’t do it for me.
However, I support all of their titles, just because it pisses Jack Thompson off.
“Massive” SINGLE Online Role Playing Game.
I “could care” ’bout J.T., =-p

Daedren’s Guide to Living with Deathknights
I don’t like writing about Warcraft. I consider the game unchallenging, frightfully unimaginative and terribly addicting – but in the same time, I’m drawn to it for its familiarity. It’s the familiar and user friendly …
